The 2nd and final collection for this year just ended with a total of 1959 scarves received from all knitters from the group of Give A Little Warmth. From the 2 collections in Jun and Oct 15, there are 1052 scarves for adult and 907 for children, with an additional 58 sets of babies booties and mittens specially knitted. All these will be distributed to the villagers in the mountain region of northern Thailand where we will be going for our upcoming mission in Dec 15. We are sure that the villagers will be very touched by such heart warming gestures from all donors upon receiving these scarves.

2016 PROGRAM

We are very grateful to be able to partner with the team of knitters from “Give A Little Warmth” group to help us in knitting scarves, beanies etc, to be brought to the needy in Northern Thailand.

Both our teams share the same core value of Spreading and Giving Warmth to the Needy.

We encourage all knitters who would like to contribute to this program to join their team to help serve their commendable effort.

Give A Little Warmth is a group initiated with like-minded knitters who wants to share and contribute their creation with yarn. Anyone who knits, crochet, or have an interest in both, can contribute.

They want to help charity organization who is looking for donation of hand-made knitted / crochet items. Scarf is something they want to create, as it is the simplest starting-project for beginner knitters to attempt. It is also an item that the receivers will have close to their heart, keeping them warm.

Their knitters contribute the yarn, the time, the effort, and the love in every stitch they made. Each scarf is different and unique, and made with love and care giving warmth to someone in need.

They warmly welcome interested contributors, be it yarn, your time, your creation, working on project-basis, whenever a good opportunity arises.
